Junfu Han is currently a staff photographer at the Observer and Eccentric newspapers in Oakland County, Michigan. Han has previously interned for the Kalamazoo Gazette, the Colorado Springs Gazette, Albuquerque Journal, Waterbury Republican-American and Gallup Independent. After completing a degree in information technology (computer science), Han moved to the United States from Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, P.R.China in August 2008 to study studio art at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, NM. During his time at the land of enchantment, he developed a strong interest in photojournalism. Han's work has been recognized by College Photographer of the Year, National Press Photographer of the Year, and New Mexico Press Association. In 2012, Han was selected as one of the 100 students and young photojournalists in the world to attend the prestigious Eddie Adams Workshop XXV in Jeffersonville, NY.
